If you are considering a move, you should consider making northern Brunswick County your home.  Northern Brunswick County offers a temperate climate, numerous safe, friendly communities and a down-home, small-town character personality.

Safe Communities

The municipalities in northern Brunswick County are committed to keeping the region's streets and communities safe.  The fruit of this commitment is evidenced by the fact that Leland, the largest municipality in northern Brunswick County, saw a 20% drop in violent crimes and a 19% drop in property crimes -- even as the region's population was experiencing explosive growth.

Schools

The North Brunswick area is home to North Brunswick High School, Leland Middle School, Belville Elementary School, Lincoln Elementary School and Bolivia Elementary School.  The region is also home to Roger Bacon Academy, a charter school located in the Maco area near the City of Northwest, and the Brunswick Community College Leland Center.

Scenic waterways

Northern Brunswick County's natural beauty is one of the many things which make the area an attractive place to live.  From the Brunswick River to Town Creek, the area is home to a number of scenic waterways.

Conveniently Located

Northern Brunswick County is strategically located just five minutes west of the historic port city of Wilmington.  Thanks to the recent extension of the Interstate 140 bypass to Highway 421, the North Brunswick region is easily accessible from Interstate 40.  When the next phase of the bypass is completed, northern Brunswick County will take it just west of the Leland Industrial Park on Highway 74/76.  The region is easily accessible from Raleigh (via I-40), Wilmington and Myrtle Beach.

Proximity to area attractions

Northern Brunswick County offers convenient access to a wide range of attractions.  The area is located five minutes from downtown Wilmington and is a short drive from both the New Hanover County and Brunswick County beaches.  The historic U.S.S. North Carolina Battleship Memorial is just minutes away.  Leland is home to the Magnolia Greens Golf Plantation, and a new golf course is planned in Brunswick Forest.  Northern Brunswick County is a short drive from the historic Orton Plantation, 30 minutes from Southport and an hour from Myrtle Beach.
